Our June Diabetes Initiative class begins on June 1st, 10:00am -12:00pm, at the Abundant Grace Community Church located at 505 Ross Street, Smithville, Texas 78957.

𝑫𝒊𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝑰𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏

~A 4- week free diabetic health promotion class, Healthy You = Healthy Me

~A program to assist in decreasing participants whose HgbA1C is 7.0 or greater.

~We offer/teach information for diabetes prevention, signs and symptoms, risks, treatment and tests, and complications via playing diabetic bingo.

~Healthy eating plate and the healthy eating pyramid activity with food labels.

~ Demonstrated and prepared meals for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner by using diabetic focused recipes.

~Low impact Zumba exercise.

WHO NEEDS TO ATTEND?

~ If your average HbgA1C is 7.0 or greater

~If you’ve been diagnosed with prediabetes.

~If you're newly diagnosed, have had type 1 or type 2 diabetes for a while, or you're helping a loved one.
