Free Community Health Fair (Copy)

Saturday, March 29, 2025

The Empty Bowl Project is a national grassroots effort to fight hunger. The basic premise is simple: Potters and
other craftspeople and volunteers create handcrafted bowls. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and
bread. In exchange for a donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the
world. The money raised is donated to organizations working to end hunger and food insecurity.

The Smithville Food Pantry, Smithville Community Gardens, Lost Pines Artisans' Alliance, Smithville Community
Clinic & S. Williams Angels Unaware Ministry are working together to bring a fun, informative day to the citizens
of Smithville and the surrounding areas. Join us!

Smithville Workforce Training Center Lifelong Learning Forums

The forums will be held at the Smithville Housing Authority Conference Room located at 100 Ken Blaschke Dr., Smithville, Texas 78957.

We know many families are struggling right now and the SWTC wants to offer support - not just financially but through education and training.

This series of classes is being offered to the entire community. The last of the series is to discuss how we might build the bridge (either pedestrian and/or vehicular) from the Sunnyside to the Northside.

We will present 6 forums as outlined in the flyer. Please join us and if you have any ideas for future forums, please let me know.
