The Empty Bowl Project is a national grassroots effort to fight hunger. The basic premise is simple: Potters and
other craftspeople and volunteers create handcrafted bowls. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and
bread. In exchange for a donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the
world. The money raised is donated to organizations working to end hunger and food insecurity.
The Smithville Food Pantry, Smithville Community Gardens, Lost Pines Artisans' Alliance, Smithville Community
Clinic & S. Williams Angels Unaware Ministry are working together to bring a fun, informative day to the citizens
of Smithville and the surrounding areas. Join us!

Lonestar Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus offers Central Texas women a path to accessible, high-quality breast cancer screening.
You can get your screening mammogram onboard the Big Pink Bus if you:
Are age 40 and older
Are uninsured, or have coverage from MAP, MAP Basic, or select commercial insurance
Have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months.
Are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
Are not experiencing breast issues such as lumps, discharge, or pain.
Can independently walk up and down stairs.

The Smithville Community Clinic is proud to be the Title Sponsor/Guest Speaker at the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business Meeting/State of the Chamber - Chamber Quarterly Luncheon.
The luncheon is being catered by Roadhouse Bastrop and tickets are $30 ($25 when you pay cash or check at the door).
~Doors open at 11:15AM for networking and socializing. The lunch program will begin at 12 Noon and end promptly at 1PM.

Smithville Workforce Training Center Lifelong Learning Forums
The forums will be held at the Smithville Housing Authority Conference Room located at 100 Ken Blaschke Dr., Smithville, Texas 78957.
We know many families are struggling right now and the SWTC wants to offer support - not just financially but through education and training.
This series of classes is being offered to the entire community. The last of the series is to discuss how we might build the bridge (either pedestrian and/or vehicular) from the Sunnyside to the Northside.
We will present 6 forums as outlined in the flyer. Please join us and if you have any ideas for future forums, please let me know.
